This ordinarily would be my posting of the new jazz releases that I played last night on Saturday Night Jazz. However, since I didn’t play any new releases last night there obviously aren’t any titles to post.
I would like to point out that you can be my friend on Facebook, if you’d care to. I’d love to see you there. 🙂 And let’s not forget Twitter!
I have to admit that I am kind of burned out on the whole “social networking” thing at the moment, especially Twitter, and have been for the last few weeks. I will return shortly, I assure you, but it has been nice not to be online so much recently.
I’ve been devoting the time I used to spend online to working on my fiction writing. Specifically, a large novel that I have been working on, off and on, for far longer than I care to admit. Since I more or less dropped out of Twitter temporarily I have made some real progress on the book for the first time in a long, long time.
I updated the story bible and made several major changes to key characters, changes that will make the story much easier when I begin the next re-write in a little over an hour from now. Not that fiction writing is ever easy. Not for me, anyway. Although, from what I’ve read, I’m not the only writer who has to wrestle each word onto the screen.
Anyway, to my very good Twitter friends, including @RealtorTweet, @_SDO, @ElementsOfJazz, @ritzymusic, @geofflapptrio, @todd_h, @cameronmizell, @SunnaGunnlaugs, @CarlsonSpeaking, @jonburr, @Radio_Lady, and too many others to name here, thanks for being my friends. Thanks for understanding.
And to quote Governor Terminator, “I’LL BE BACK!” Sooner rather than later. 😉
Thanks for listening, both to me here and to Saturday Night Jazz on Portland’s jazz radio, 89.1 FM – KMDH. 🙂
