It appears that my (out of warranty) Gateway laptop has developed a terminal illness. I will be spending the rest of tonight trying to resuscitate it. More accurately, Windows startup repair utility is looking for the problem and, I hope, will fix said problem after it is found.
If that does not happen, then tomorrow will be “buy a new laptop day” for me. I’ve known this day was coming for some time, but had hoped the Gateway would hang in there a little while longer.
One way or another, Jazz For A Saturday Night will return next week, even if I have to write it on this tired old Windows XP desktop.
