I really hate to say it, but I think JFASN is going to have to go on hiatus until I can get a handle on my sleep apnea. There is a great, classic jazz album from 1963 that I would love to tell you about, and I have been sitting at my laptop for well over an hour trying to do just that.
The problem is, I am finding it extremely difficult to stay focused right now because the desire to just close my eyes and go to sleep while sitting at my laptop is almost irresistible.
I get these feelings at the day job, but not nearly as strong. I suspect they are probably being exacerbated by the heat wave the Portland area is presently experiencing. At work there is air conditioning. At home, there are fans. Big difference.
