After 27 years, 9 months and 6 days, I have retired from “the day job.” As of Friday, November 18, 2016, I am officially “retired!” 🙂

I wish I could say I am out of the work force permanently, but the odds are I am not. Come next Spring, say around March or April of 2017, I will need to find something part time to keep me out of trouble for a few more years.

Until then, I am footloose and fancy-free, whatever that means, and I intend to enjoy my freedom. For starters, I am going to resume posting weekly jazz album reviews to this blog, beginning Saturday, December 3.

I still have a bunch of great old jazz albums to tell you about, and I have also received some new releases during my hiatus that I think you will like.

In the meantime, to those of you in the United States, please allow me to say that I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday later this week!

Thanks for reading this.
