This is one of the greatest jazz jam albums ever released:
A boxed set containing no less than EIGHT vinyl LP’s assembling in one place some of the most dynamic jazz artists of the era, including:

Monty Alexander

Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis
Roy Eldridge
Dizzy Gillespie
Al Grey
Milt Jackson
Oscar Peterson
Ronnie Scott
Zoot Sims
Clark Terry

Last year, I played almost every song on all eight disks, spread over a period of three or four months.

THIS year, beginning on Saturday, July 5 and running through Labor Day weekend, you will be able to hear the best of the best from this “best-filled” set!

That’s right, every Saturday night all summer long, from 8 PM pacific time until the first break, around 8:22 PM, you’ll be able to relive various parts of this fantastic moment in jazz history. (A reminder: Labor Day is on September 1 this year.)

Please make plans to join me every Saturday, beginning July 5, at 8 PM* for the best of the best of “Montreux ’77: The Art Of The Jam Session”. You won’t be disappointed! (Those of you outside KMHD’s broadcast area can join in by listening to our stream at kmhd.fm.)

Thanks for your time, and for listening to Saturday Night Jazz on 89.1, KMHD!

*NOTE: Saturday Night Jazz begins at 6 PM pacific time and ends at 9 PM. This “best of the best” feature will kick off the 8 o’clock hour each Saturday night through Labor Day weekend.
