I’ve been in love with Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band for several years now, ever since the release of “Act Your Age”. “Act Your Age” is a frequent resident of my CD player… No matter how many times I listen to it, I just can’t get enough.
The video below shows the guys doing a live performance of “Play That Funky Music,” featuring Eric Marienthal on the sax. “Play That Funky Music” actually hails from an earlier Phat CD, “The Phat Pack”.
One thing both albums have in common is each contains two disks: a regular CD and a bonus DVD that, among other features, contains the complete album in 5.1 stereo surround sound. The difference has to be heard to be believed!
